What is your karma?  Our lives are often the answer to this question, and yet it also remains a deep mystery.  One of the most fascinating and useful tools for pulling back the veil of that mystery is the ancient art and science of Vedic astrology, or Jyotish.  Jyotish can shine light on an individual’s unique and special talents, gifts and challenges, as well as suggest ways in which one can work with them in order to benefit oneself and others. This class will be a simple introduction to Vedic astrology.  To enhance your learning  “Vedic Astrology: Simply Put”, by William Levacy, is suggested reading.
We will briefly examine together the following topics:
-What is Jyotish, and how is it similar to, and different from, Western astrology?
-What does a Northern Indian chart look like, and how does one “read” its basic parts?
-How does one assess both strengths and weaknesses in a chart?
-We will look at a few charts of famous people, and students will have the opportunity to schedule a personal reading at a later date, if they would like.
