Divine Anticipation

“Cultivate the inspiration and the anticipation that your life is a divine unfoldment. Know that greater good, beyond our current knowledge, is right now coming your way.”

~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian

I pray that you have experienced the beauty of the season before us. As a mother, a teacher, and a disciple, I recognize the quality of anticipation that comes during this time of year that coincides with the Holy Days of various spiritual and religious traditions.

As a mother, I recognize the anticipation of my children for the gifts they will receive. As a teacher, I experience the anticipation of that which will come in the form of inspiration. And as a disciple, I know the anticipation, the yearning, for Self-revelation. To know peace. To experience fullness.  To experience the radiance that comes with Self knowing. All three experiences of anticipation are woven into the human experience. As we mature spiritually, the latter moves to the forefront of our experience.

Paramahansa Yogananda wrote, “Self-realization is the knowing—in mind, body, and soul—that we one with the omnipresence of God; that we do not have to pray that it comes to us, that we are merely near it at all times, but that God’s omnipresence is our omnipresence; that we are just as much a part of God now as we will ever be. All we have to do is improve our knowing”.

We have a beautiful opportunity to take all that has appeared within 2020—the beauty and the sorrow—and step consciously into the new year, anticipating that Life will continue to reveal itself to us so that we may know the very peace of our own being. Please join me on a New Year Kriya Yoga Spiritual Retreat with Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian beginning on Thursday, December 31. For more information, please click here.

We are each divinely supported in each moment as it reveals itself to us.
