Traditional Chinese Medicine tells us that health is enhanced by the smooth, fluid and unblocked flow of qi (life force energy) within the body. Qigong, a branch of Chinese Medicine, fosters this flow using slow gentle movements, deep breathing and focused awareness to calm the mind, relax the body and connect with oneself and all living beings.
Qigong is gentle and safe for anyone to practice. The movements may be done standing or sitting, or otherwise modified for those who have physical limitations.
Each class of this series slowly builds upon the previous class. Qigong stretching and flow movements will be taught, with special attention given to relaxation and softening of the body, heart and mind, the breath, and the cultivation of one’s personal energy flow.
No experience is necessary for this class.
